About Profhilo®
-
Profhilo® is a uniquely formulated hyaluronic acid gel. Specific molecular weights of hyaluronic acid are combined in a thermal process to deliver anti-inflammatory, deeply hydrating properties to the skin. It is one of the most concentrated forms of injectable hyaluronic acid on the market.
Unlike dermal fillers, Profhilo® does not use additional chemicals to stabilise the product.
-
Profhilo® is a highly concentrated hyaluronic acid gel.
Hyaluronic acid is naturally produced in the body and the greatest concentration of hyaluronic acid resides in the skin.
Hyaluronic acid contributes to our skin hydration, attracting water molecules and creating the optimal environment for the production of collagen and elastin. Natural hyaluronic acid is broken down by enzymes and this process can be accelerated by environmental factors, such as UV exposure.
Profhilo® replenishes the skin’s stores of hyaluronic acid, resulting in deeply hydrated skin and a bioremodelled dermal environment, optimal for collagen and elastin production. This in turn improves skin laxity.
The Profhilo® glow speaks for itself!
The procedure
-
Profhilo® can be used in:
Mid and lower face
Neck
Décolletage
Abdomen
Arms
-
Profhilo® is administered by a series of injections into the deep dermis, which is a layer of the skin. These are superficial injections that can look and feel a bit like bee stings. The discomfort passes quickly and the resulting ‘bumps’ begin to disperse immediately, completing this process over a couple of days.
In the mid and lower face, five injection points are used each side (10 injections total).
In other areas, including the neck, décolletage, arms and abdomen, 10 injection points are used.
Two treatments, four weeks apart are recommended, with a single maintenance treatment every 3 - 6 months.

Profhilo® holds a unique position in the aesthetics market.
Hyaluronic acid, the component in many dermal fillers, requires stabilisation to resist the natural enzymatic breakdown process that occurs in the body. Dermal fillers often use additional chemicals to cross-link hyaluronic acid, to improve its stability once injected. These chemicals must be very carefully assessed to ensure they remain within safe concentration levels.
Additionally, not all hyaluronic acid is equal. Different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid will respond differently once injected, and will invoke different responses in the skin. Careful curation of molecular weights used is essential to achieve the best results and improve a product’s predictability.
Profhilo® uses a thermal process to cross-link very specific weights of hyaluronic acid. It is not a dermal filler, and is carefully curated to produce a predictable response in the skin.
